::Galactic Football League (GFL) Series Novels:: THE ROOKIE • THE STARTER • THE ALL-PRO • THE MVP • THE CHAMPION ::GFL Novellas:: THE REPORTER * THE DETECTIVE * TITLE FIGHT * THE RIDER Armored little people riding armored dinosaurs in a full-contact bloodsport? Welcome to Dinolition, the biggest show in the galaxy. Star rider Poughkeepsie Pete and his T-Rex mount “Old Bess” are fixtures of a league struggling to reach profitability and gain intergalactic recognition, to be thought of as something other than circus-freak sideshows. But to get that credibility (and the massive payday that comes with it) Pete has to manage a league commissioner with a God complex, deal with a devious team owner, navigate a web of organized crime trying to fix matches, and dodge religious zealots set on killing him and the dinos alike — all while grooming the next generation of riders that will carry the sport into a new age of glory. In Dinolition, authors Paul E. Cooley and #1 New York Times bestseller Scott Sigler give “ride till ya die” a whole new meaning.

THE GOLDEN LEGEND JACOBUS DE VORAGINE — A Catholic Classic! — Around 170 Lives of the Saints, Over 615,00 Words — Includes an Active Index, Table of Contents and Layered NCX Navigation — Includes Illustrations by Gustave Dore The Golden Legend Paperback Editions: Volume 1: 978-1-78379-436-2 Volume 2: 978-1-78379-437-9 Volume 3: 978-1-78379-438-6 The Golden Legend is a collection of hagiographies by Jacobus de Voragine that became a late medieval bestseller. This collection of about 170 lives of the Saints was the most read book during the Ages of Faith, second only to the Holy Bible. It is one of the all-time Catholic classics, of immense unction, and is the basis of much iconography. More than a thousand manuscripts of the text have survived. It was likely compiled around the year 1260, although the text was added to over the centuries. Initially entitled Readings of the Saints, it gained its popularity under the title by which it is best known. Over eight hundred manuscript copies of the work survive, and when printing was invented in the 1450s, editions appeared quickly, not only in Latin, but also in every major European language. Caxton's version appeared in 1483 and his translation was reprinted, reaching a ninth edition in 1527. In 1900, the Caxton version was translated by Frederick Startridge Ellis. La pell de brau has been called the most important book to appear in Spain in the 1960s. Grappling with themes of national, racial, and cultural identity, its frankness exhilarated and inspired the younger generation of artists to speak out on social and political issues. The Oxford Companion to Spanish Literature said of Burton Raffel's translation: "He has created an Espriu equally valid in English, a monument to a Catalan writer of world stature."
