I knew I liked to write when I was a teenager, locking myself in my room. I was angry, frustrated and needed a positive outlet. I was tired of breaking things. I was sad having to pick up pieces of my little treasures. So I picked up a pencil to write about how I felt and why I was being self-destructive. I was determined to find a way to diffuse the confusion in my head. Taught very early to pray, I'd put my prayers on paper. Seeing something written brought me back into reality. I had a reference point. Something I could read over and over to remind myself who I was and that I would be okay. This is my story of survival. My journey from the traumatic experience of being molested countless times by my step-father while living within the strict religious practices of Jehovah's Witnesses to my healing process with Parents United. I thought my life of confusion, mistrust and low self-esteem could never change. As I got older, I attracted more dysfunction in my choices. I didn't know I could change that. I didn’t know any better. I became afraid for my children. I thought I was crazy and didn't have good parenting skills. After years of therapy, I learned to have control over my life and how to take the power back that I kept giving away. I am no longer a victim. It has been a long and twisty road. Today, I am proud to be happy, healthy and productive in my world. I am proud to be a survivor! I hope to inspire others and give them hope that the craziness in their heads can go away. I want to keep talking about this until the cycle is broken and all children are safe.

An Entertainment Weekly “Best Tell-All” Book One of Parade Magazine's “Best Books About Movies/TV” Included in Publishers Weekly's “Top Ten Social Science Books” Before the recent reboots, reunions, and renaissance of classic Nickelodeon nostalgia swept through the popular imagination, there was SLIMED!, the book that started it all. With hundreds of exclusive interviews and have-to-read-‘em-to-believe-‘em stories you won't find anywhere else, SLIMED! is the first-ever full chronicle of classic Nick…told by those who made it all happen! Nickelodeon nostalgia has become a cottage industry unto itself: countless podcasts, blogs, documentaries, social media communities, conventions, and beyond. But a little less than a decade ago, the best a dyed-in-the-wool Nick Kid could hope for when it came to coverage of the so-called Golden Age (1983–1995) of the Nickelodeon network was the infrequent listicle, op-ed, or even rarer interview with an actual old-school Nick denizen. Pop culture historian Mathew Klickstein changed all of that when he forged ahead to track down and interview more than 250 classic Nick VIP’s to at long last piece together the full wacky story of how Nickelodeon became “the Only Network for You!” SLIMED! is a celebration of Nickelodeon that includes a foreword by Double Dare’s Marc Summers and an afterword by none other than Artie, the Strongest Man in the World himself (aka Toby Huss). After you get SLIMED!, you’ll never look at Nickelodeon the same way again. “Mathew Klickstein might be the geek guru of the 21st century.”—Mark Mothersbaugh

Dear Reader, "Resilience Matters" is a story - my story - that has been in my heart and on my mind for more than sixty years. I originally decided to write it for my children and grandchildren; however, many have told me it would be inspirational reading for others who have led a less than privileged life. In these pages you will join me on a journey through the foster care system, an abusive first marriage, and the ordeal of breast cancer, which included multiple reconstructive surgeries. At this point in my life, I am happy to report I have arrived at a place of perfect contentment. It is my hope that those who read this book will find the courage to put themselves first, while honoring their personal histories that live in their hearts and souls. I also hope that my readers will learn to always hold onto their dreams. Dreams can come true. Mine did! Joanne Bellontine

We are excited about introducing to you what we believe to be one of the most meaningful books you'll ever read. This book is the beginning of a project with a divine purpose to help turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, to advocate for the victims of injustice, and uniting their voices to speak in the ears of lawmakers. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. To help create a sound and functional household for the underprivileged surrounding neighborhoods that would instill in them a desire to climb to higher heights; even to the extent of becoming entrepreneurs, and enabling them to do so. This book is part one of a memoir that illustrates many true and personal life experiences, such as government corruption, injustice, dysfunctional families, sexual intercourse, the love of money, parenting, government informants, and much more, based on how they're viewed through the mind of God as well as man. All to help stabilize the family and structuring it the way God intended for it to be. In the recent past, a study found that there were about 2.3 million people incarcerated here in the United States, which is more than any other country, with 140,610 serving a life sentence and two-thirds of them being black and Latino. Nearly one-third of the total number of inmates serving life has no possibility for parole, and sadly, many of which are nonviolent offenders. Surely we must demand change. Perry Malone is a first time author who is currently and temporarily incarcerated. While endeavoring to regain his freedom through the exposure of government corruption, Perry Malone not only surrendered his life to the Lord, but also discovered his ordained purpose and calling which is revealed within the pages of this book. He is now divorced with four children and six grandchildren.
