This book includes stories of my journeys in Asia. It is not a guide-book to travel. The book was a collection of the feeling, impression and experience of areas, regions, countries where I visited with joy, worry, anxiety, surprise and disappointment, suddenness and interest… The journey and writings are my prayer for peace in the earth, finish bombs, children have many foods, nobody is poverty-stricken, everybody can travel. In this book, the start of my journeys was Hanoi - my native city, then travels were spreading from near to far. The first story was “Hanoi two thousands years” with legends of my home-city. Nhatrang, a city in the central region, and Mekong delta in the south region of Vietnam were two next visits. Other stories were my feeling and impressions of Vientian with friendliness, Angkor with a ride on elephant, experiences of many travels in Thailand, contrary impression of Myanmar , astonishment in Shenzhen, trading in Singapore, the world is not flat in India, Israeli charity… “Visa” was a special story about my experiences before travels. “Author's confidence” and “Short extracts of other travels” were the last in the book. It was the open finish of this book because I continue to travel, to write… Every story in this book is every view. Please read and with me wish peace in the earth, finish bombs, children have many foods, nobody is poverty-stricken, everybody can travel…

Wireless Communications: Theory and Techniques covers fundamental concepts of wireless communications including extensive discussion of cellular system design principles, interference and signal processing related topics. The author identifies the complexities of providing reliable wireless communications in the presence of several signal impairing parameters of the channel. The first part of the book concentrates on mobile radio channels and the impairments these induce in signals propagating over them. These impairments include signal attenuation, fading - selective or flat, slow or fast, and interference. The second part addresses signal reception and processing for minimizing the impact of channel impairments. The third part brings into perspective cellular system design and covers cellular systems that are in commercial operation. The five 3G interface standards are described. Practical treatment of certain essential wireless topics such as antennas, electromagnetic waves and propagation is provided. The material is extensively illustrated and provides comprehensive lists of reference after each chapter. Numerous solved examples and problems to help the reader are included. Problems are provided at the end of chapters for homework and review. This book is for graduate level courses on wireless communications but it can also be adapted for the senior undergraduate level course by omitting material involving the more difficult mathematical manipulations. Professionals will find a wealth of practical insight gained from the author's years of experience in the field.

Voice & Vision is a comprehensive manual for the independent filmmakers and film students who want a solid grounding in the tools, techniques, and processes of narrative film in order to achieve their artistic vision. This book includes essential and detailed information on relevant film and digital video tools, a thorough overview of the filmmaking stages, and the aesthetic considerations for telling a visual story. The ultimate goal of this book is to help you develop your creative voice while acquiring the solid practical skills and confidence to use it. Unlike many books that privilege raw technical information or the line-producing aspects of production, Voice & Vision places creativity, visual expression, and cinematic ideas front and center. After all, every practical decision a filmmaker makes, like choosing a location, an actor, a film stock, a focal length, a lighting set-up, an edit point, or a sound effect is also an expressive one and should serve the filmmaker's vision. Every decision, from the largest conceptual choices to the smallest practical solutions, has a profound impact on what appears on the screen and how it moves an audience. "In Practice sidebars throughout Voice & Vision connect conceptual, aesthetic and technical issues to their application in the real world. Some provide a brief analysis of a scene or technique from easily rentable films which illustrate how a specific technology or process is used to support a conceptual, narrative, or aesthetic choice. Others recount common production challenges encountered on real student and professional shoots which will inspire you to be innovative and resourceful when you are solving your own filmmaking challenges.

A major fraction of star formation in the universe occurs in starbursts. These regions of particularly rapid star formation are often located towards the centers of host galaxies. Studies of this kind of star formation at high redshift have produced astonishing results over recent years that were only possible with the latest generation of large ground-based and space telescopes. The papers collected in this volume present these results in the context of the much firmer foundation of star formation in the local universe, and they emphasize all the important topics, from star formation in different environments to the cosmic star formation history.
