RENEW YOUR HEART TO THE RHYTHMS OF GOD! The psalms of the Bible are powerful expressions of the heart of faith in covenant with God, and of the heart of God in covenant with His people. Confessing the psalms is simply speaking in agreement with them, and is a great way to meditate on, personalize and instruct your soul with the truths and promises they bring. The personal confessions in this book are adapted from the psalms. They are defibrillations to shift your heart into the rhythms of faith, to recalibrate your thoughts and emotions with the promises of God and realign your will with the heart of God. But don't just read them. Find a place where you can say them out loud and maybe even shout them out with passion. Let them go up with a whoop and a holler to God, with the velocity of faith, and watch what happens in your heart and in your life. Samples O the Happiness! ~ from Psalm 1 O the happiness! I do not walk in the counsel of those who are ungodly; I do not seek out or follow their advice. I do not stand in the path with those who purpose to do what is wrong. I do not sit with those who mock what is good. But my delight is in the instruction of Yahweh, I think about it all the time. So I am like a tree planted by rivers of water, Established, well-rooted, well-fed, That bears its fruit abundantly in its season; And its leaf does not wither. Whatever I do prospers. The judgment of Yahweh is for me, not against me. I stand with the people who stand in awe of Him, And Yahweh watches over my path. O the happiness! My King ~ from Psalm 5 Yahweh is my King and my God. To Him I will pray. In the morning, He hears my voice. In the morning, I lay my requests before Him I wait and I watch And I look to Him in expectation. By His great mercy, I come before Him. I bow down and worship Him, As His holy temple, in whom He dwells.* He leads me in all that is right And He straightens out my path before me. My heart is light because I trust in Him. I shout wildly because He defends me. I jump for joy because I love His name. For Yahweh blesses those who are right with Him, He surrounds them with His favor. He surrounds me with His favor, All around me, as with a shield. St Augustine Answers 101 Questions On Prayer

How can I pray better? How do I know God hears my prayers? How can I 'pray always, ' as Jesus commands? Why must I ask for things God already knows I need? Such were the questions that perplexed a young North African man, Augustine Aurelius (354-430), whose intense yearning for God led him into a profound and lifelong encounter with Christ in prayer. There Augustine found answers to these questions and to countless more answers not grounded in his own brilliance, but in prayer itself. In time, Augustine became a bishop and a Father of the Church, and has long been numbered among her saints. Yet of all the Church's saints, not one expresses the longing for God more beautifully, or explores the nature of prayer more helpfully, than St. Augustine. His words speak to us today as freshly as they did to his contemporaries. St. Augustine wrote many books, but never one devoted to prayer alone. Indeed, his teachings on prayer are scattered in many places. So from over 200 works, Fr. Cliff Ermatinger has gathered and translated Augustine's teachings on prayer, and now presents them here in a simple question-and-answer format. What emerges is nothing less than a rich new "catechism on prayer" by one of the Church's greatest saints.

Holy Spirit Manufactured Prayer

Holy Spirit manufactures prayer for us because He knows what is in the mind of God. Throughout Scripture when God spoke, it was creative and always revealed something about Himself, His purposes, or His ways. As we are fast approaching His next coming, I believe the LORD wants to reveal His plan, His place, His provision, and His purpose for our lives. But for us to get there, we must partner with Him through vigorous prayer. Paul wrote in the book of Acts, "but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word." (Acts 6:4) This devotional prayer book provides detailed and kingdom-minded prayers which were inspired through the Holy Spirit. Do not just pray, but pray with understanding. How we pray can determine the urgency at which our prayers are answered. I am sure victory is waiting for you. Prayer Reveals the Mind of God Prayer Helps to Renew Our Mind-Set Prayer Shows Humility to Our Creator Prayer Keeps Us Spiritually Alert for Kingdom Purposes Prayer Prepares Us for the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Professionally, Matthew Dare O'Dunlami is an investment banker with over 30 years experience in the banking industry and was a former Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He holds an MBA in finance and has worked with various banks and financial institutions across the United States. Spiritually, Matthew has put his ear to the Almighty's chest and heard his heartbeat since he was twelve years old and for the past fourteen years he has been operating in the office of Prophet and Prophetic Ministry. He is a true intercessor in this end time movement and an on-time messenger for our Lord Jesus Christ and to the nations. He believes prophetic prayer must be aligned and confirmed with scriptures when released to the spirit realm. God's mandate upon him is to wake up a sleeping Church to walk in purity, holiness and power through vigorous prayer. He preaches the gospel to the nations. He is also a seasoned Minister of the Word of God and a member of Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide. He resides in New Jersey with his wife, Esther and children.

This volume is accurately annotated, including * an extensive biography of the author and his life Confessions (Latin: Confessiones) is the name of an autobiographical work, consisting of 13 books, by St. Augustine of Hippo, written between AD 397 and AD 398. Modern English translations of it are sometimes published under the title The Confessions of St. Augustine in order to distinguish the book from other books with similar titles. Its original title was "Confessions in Thirteen Books", and it was composed to be read out loud with each book being a complete unit. The work outlines Augustine's sinful youth and his conversion to Christianity. It is widely seen as the first Western autobiography ever written, and was an influential model for Christian writers throughout the following 1000 years of the Middle Ages. It is not a complete autobiography, as it was written in his early 40s, and he lived long afterwards, producing another important work (City of God); it does, nonetheless, provide an unbroken record of his development of thought and is the most complete record of any single person from the 4th and 5th centuries.
